2012 VIR Double National Spec Miata Race 2 – Rain Race

Four non-consecutive laps cut from Race 2 of the Spec Miata race at the VIR Double National. This was a soaking rain race. Pretty much the entire field went off-track at some point. Several drivers led the race at different times. Drivers featured in this footage are Todd Buras (Race Winner)t, Danny Steyn 2nd, Andrew Charboneau 3rd, Cliffie Brown 4th, Nick Leverone 7th, Voytek Burdzy DNF, Alex Bolanos DNF, Stefan Tisseront DNF, and others

This was my best lap of the weekend. Unfortunately it was still 1 second off the pole. Thanks to Mike in his pinkmobile for the tow. Geri Amani’s unfortunate Crash at Infineon Raceway. Reminders to all who race: NEVER skimp on safety equipment!! This in-car footage captures being hit by a high power Camaro–a mid-air spin and tumble to the ground. She walked away with only a few bruises and one hell of a story.
