Chin Motorsports Thanksgiving event on Sunday Nov 27, 2011 – 3:00PM green group. Spec Miata chases BMW M3. Best lap (9) was 1:50.3. 121.2 RWHP, 116 lb-ft, 2415 lbs with 180lb driver and 3/8 tank.

Chin Motorsports Thanksgiving event on Sunday Nov 27, 2011 – 12:00PM green group. Spec Miata trades the lead with 944 and Vette but then goes off at 10B causing some damage.
John Heflin driving his 1997 Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG at the Mercedes-Benz Club of America Greater Washington Section (MBCA GWS) round 2 AutoCross at Winchester, VA for the 2011 season. With an overcast morning practice session, the weather quickly went monsoon after lunch break. However, John did managed to achieve fastest time (FTD) for the Mercedes Class with his racing slick in the rain.
A “track day” (with time trial and relay race) by Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team (CART) at Pocono North on August 2009. Great event. Watch for my spin at about 1:30 in the video (a car spun in front of me). Most of the video is from my rear-facing camera (a “Flip” sold state camcorder). The car is my bone-stock ‘00 Miata daily driver (with top down all day….even during the heavier rains). Time: 42.95 sec. First time at an auto cross. Did pretty well considering I only have about 110-115whp and same on torque. Original engine with 271581 miles on it. Just intake, headers and exhaust. Except for a couple of civics everyone had more HP than I did. The fastest cars of the day were running between 38 – 41 sec. Driving was difficult with the stock steering (3.2 lock to lock) and lack of power. Also my tach was not working.
I’ll post more about the exhaust project soon. But first a little treat. My first autocross! I have my maniflow insalled too! You can hear it in this segment nicely.
Tracking the Spec* Miata at the Streets of Willow Springs. May 7th, 2009. It was a private Live Sockets-organized event. Check out the badass editing and stuff haha, it’s my first time actually “editing” a video. Lame. It was fun passing faster cars, but I only got in a few clean laps with no traffic. It’s been forever since I was on Streets (The Miata’s never seen Willow actually), and had to do a few laps to remember the track and the line. Can’t wait to start doing Miata Challenge or some …
