Mary Pozzi runs a 30.135 in her 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. This car runs a stock style suspension, complete with rear leaf springs and is a testament to what a mildly modified, but well-sorted and well-driven car with good tires (Kumho Ecsta XS in this case: UTQG 180) can accomplish.
A great race with six lead changes, bump drafting, lots of oversteer and tight clean racing. This was a fight till almost the last lap at Mission’s River’s Edge Roadcourse in Mission BC. This was also the Sports Car Club of British Columbia’s 60th Anniversary Weekend on April 14th 2011. Best parts on the video: 6:15(Very sideways entering turn 4) 11:03 (Loosing the back end on turn 1 allowing Mark to get along side) 13:30 (Catching up to back markers and bump drafting on the main straight) 15:20 (The intense battle begins and we start pushing the cars to the ragged edge till the chequered flag) After the battle Mark and I both drove our cars home on public streets!
