This is the first time I’ve ever witnessed an accident at a speed ventures autocross. It was a pretty fast track and it was his first time up since his last break so the tires were pretty cold & so was the track. The driver was shaken up quite a bit, but he walked away. 16 year old Josh Bilicki running Spec Miata for the 2011 fall sprints. He qaulified 1st (his first pole postition ever), fell back to second, then third and was chasing down the 3rd place car when the rear end got away from him and he spun into the grass. Josh recovered and finished 4th in Spec Miata, and 5th overall.

It’s been almost a year since I’ve been on a racetrack! Was glad to be out to Auto Club Speedway this past weekend for some fun in my spec miata. With some drafting help from John MI qualified 6th out of 16 cars. In the race I made some dumb mistakes and lost a few positions, but overall it was a ton of fun. Finished 10th! Here are some highlights.
