This was my first on-track experience in a race car… fun stuff! Sorry for the crapy quality, my dad was fliming -_-
Thank you to Mike Collins, Ted Cahill and all of Meathead racing. We had a great time racing a SM at the SCCA’s NEOHIO Firecracker National July 2-3, 2011. Here’s a lap around Nelson Ledges. I was a few seconds off the pole time, but had a great time at what is a pretty quick little two mile track.

CFR’s Turkey Trot Spec Miata race with accident on lap 1. I Started 15th and fell back to 50 something (dead last) after the accident, then climbed back to 20th. The video makes me realize how many little mistakes I had during my drive, I need to drive more often to keep the rust off.
Final SM race of 2011 Cincy SCCA IT*SPECtacular. My first ever weekend in a Spec Miata. Started and finished 17th out of 31. Best lap time of 1 min 46.0 sec.

First Spec Miata Race at Laguna Seca. Was a rather frustrating weekend learning the track in a few sessions, then working my way through some traffic. Lost all my hard work by flying off-track int he sand at T9. Note to self, Miata + Sand = Not Faster!
