Second session learning the track on old tires in Practice before the SCCA National weekend at Portland International Raceway. When you have very minimal seat time before an event, find the limits quickly where it is safe. This definitely isn’t a 4th gear corner! Full of mistakes – too excited to run with the big boys at the front. This is our first National SCCA race, and third race ever in a car. Finished 5th/14 in Spec Miata, and 4th the previous day from a run from last place (didn’t qualify). Tons to learn from for the next one at Miller Motorsports Park in August/11!

First round of 1 :16s around Phoenix Intl’ Raceway. The fastest I could find this event was a 1 :16.009. Track was rather slick in T2 and Carousel, struggled with some significant push. Yes, I FORGOT MY GLOVES IN THE PITS. I didn’t have my coffee that morning!
