This is my second Spec Miata Race. I started in last place (23rd) after a DNF on Saturday. I finished 7th after passing 16 cars. You will see hand signals between myself and other drivers showing how we work together to catch up to the next group of cars. I can’t think of a better way to practice race craft. Thanks to Rush Motorsports for a very capable car.

Second session learning the track on old tires in Practice before the SCCA National weekend at Portland International Raceway. When you have very minimal seat time before an event, find the limits quickly where it is safe. This definitely isn’t a 4th gear corner! We were running without the chicane this weekend, 118mph (no draft) entry into the braking zone, not bad for a little Spec Miata. May 6-8/2011 www.brodygoble.com

16 year old Josh Bilicki’s 2nd time in a race car, and first time driving a car at Road America. Started 16th overall, and 5th in class, worked his way up to 2nd in class, then the alternator broke so the car started sputtering and he couldn’t finish the race. This is me autocrossing my 1968 El Camino for the first time at the Midwest City Sheriff’s practice track hosted by the BMW club of Oklahoma City. I was fairly impress by my results, thanks to the full Hotchkis sway bar kit. Tons of fun and good people.

16 year old Josh Bilicki running Spec Miata for the 2011 fall sprints. He qaulified 1st (his first pole postition ever), fell back to second, then third and was chasing down the 3rd place car when the rear end got away from him and he spun into the grass. Josh recovered and finished 4th in Spec Miata, and 5th overall.
