Spec Miata battle on the last lap. Combined age of the 2 drivers, 34 years old
A highlight reel of some of the more exciting moments during the 2011 SCCA Mazda Spec Miata season. This was our first year racing sports cars and we had a great season amassing multiple wins, a track record, and the CACC Sports Car Rookie of the Year honors. 2012 will mark new beginnings as we are focused on drifting, obtaining our PRO Formula Drift license. Rivers Edge Roadcourse – Brody Goble’s Spec Miata

We attended this local event for fun and to cap off a great 2011 season. We set a new track record our first time racing here in the Spec Miata class. Here is some footage of Sunday’s race win! The other miata is an IP3 car (different class) but I still wanted to beat him.. Follow my drifting and road racing via my website and blog at www.brodygoble.com Thanks to Tracy Beier at R3 Motorsports, Speedware Motorsports and GoPro Hero HD Cameras, for making the 2011 season super successful! In our first year moving from go-karts to cars, we managed to qualify for the SCCA National Runoffs and snag a few wins and more importantly end up 2nd overall in the SCCA National points in the Northwest Division. Many thanks to my dad and family/friends that are always there to support me!

PiR SCCA Spec Miata Race – Contact While Passing for Lead

Some contact was made between Matt Schultz and I as I was passing for the lead. I was then shuffled back in the pack as I went out into the grass. Live and learn; scrub those tires after an off-track excursion! We managed to still sneak out a third place result in the race and I went onto finishing second the following day. This was my best lap of the weekend. Unfortunately it was still 1 second off the pole. Thanks to Mike in his pinkmobile for the tow. I wish I could have been just a little closer to stay in his draft. 1992 1.6L Spec Miata Hoosier tires 60 degrees temperature Recorded with GoPro HERO2 camera and Traqmate Data Acquisition Video created with TraqStudio
May 30 – 2011. Tons of fun, wish we had some power for the straights. Started 12th out of 22 and made our way up to 6th on the first lap. I slowly fell back as I got picked off down the straight lap after lap. We need a pro motor to compete with the guys in the National Races… www.brodygoble.com
My first try at autocross in San Diego. I don’t need comments on how bad I suck, I already know! The car only has less then 500 miles on it. You can tell I ran out of cones to hit! (^_^) This video is nothing special, no sound track, no special editing, just wanted to get it out there. It’s actually 2011 Febuary 20, not 2012!
Autocrossing a 2006 Volvo S60R at a CKRSCCA event. All seasons and a slush box made for a lot of tire noise and a confused transmission.

June Sprints Spec Miata spin & crash at Road America in the Kink

June Sprints, Spec Miata Race, June 19, 2011. As the rain begins to fall, Roger Pogorzelski heads through the kink at Road America, dropping a tire and getting loose in front of Scott Mooney, Milio’s Sandwiches Franchising driver.
This is my second Spec Miata Race. I started in last place (23rd) after a DNF on Saturday. I finished 7th after passing 16 cars. You will see hand signals between myself and other drivers showing how we work together to catch up to the next group of cars. I can’t think of a better way to practice race craft. Thanks to Rush Motorsports for a very capable car.
