Chin Motorsports Thanksgiving event on Sunday Nov 27, 2011 – 12:00PM green group. Spec Miata trades the lead with 944 and Vette but then goes off at 10B causing some damage.
Santa Barbara ‘Earl Warren’ Showgrounds .. Porsche Club AutoCross ..Corvette invite, they needed a car with the motor in the correct place. Thanks too the local Porsche Club for a great race day. Very tight and technically demanding course.
This is the first time I’ve ever witnessed an accident at a speed ventures autocross. It was a pretty fast track and it was his first time up since his last break so the tires were pretty cold & so was the track. The driver was shaken up quite a bit, but he walked away. Here’s an autocross montage shot in Louisville Kentucky in the UPS parking lot at Louisville International Airport. This event took place in August 2011 and is a mix from the morning and afternoon runs. After receiving feedback from various people I’ve tried to make this video feel like my original autocross video from 2009. I’ve done my best to include as many participants as possible but some are probably left out. I used an unhacked Panasonic GH2 shooting at 1280 x 720 60p…unfortunately I used the lower data rate version of that option, but that shouldn’t effect the quality too much. One of the more interesting things I messed with on the shoot was the ETC mode with the Panasonic 100-300mm OIS lens, which if on a full frame sensor turns the lens into roughly a 780mm – 2340mm. When shooting full telephoto I was very frustrated in the moment of recording because even though I was watching the flip out LCD, the action was so fast and the field of view so small I couldn’t really tell if I was keeping the cars framed properly. Once I captured and transcoded the footage I was beyond impressed with the ETC mode and was very thankful to be using a nice tripod head. The only other piece of gear I wish I had was a variable ND filter so I didn’t have to stop down all the way. Shawn Lambert’s Monster Miata – ODR Autocross 6-19-11

Shawn debuted his LS1 Miata at ODR’s June 19th Pungo Autocross. It was going well…until the clutch pedal linkage gave way, and ended his run 1/2 way through. He still managed to hit a 38 after shutting down in the Pungo sweeper..5 seconds of FTD…hmmmm. Look for Shawn to back and in full force very soon. If you don’t see him..you will hear him.

Had a really good time today, despite an electrical module failure that threatened to ruin my day. This video shows you some of the questions/comments I hear about the car. Looking forward to the next event! The noise in the background is the fuel pump doing its job

Excuse my accord in this video but this happened as we were recording it. Check time 00:26 sec a Corvette C5 blows his transmission. Turn up your volume It sounds horrible when it happens.
