I pass 911 on lap 5. I then spin at Turn 14 on lap 6 at 1:35 (4:22 in video). Corvette then passes me and then I catch corvette and pass him.

2012-04-21 – Spec Miata Engine Explodes on the Track – Barber Rezoom Event

My stock 1.8L with 92K miles on it explodes on the Barber track. Luckily I did not get charged for oil cleanup (Barber is really strict in terms of giving you a bill for any cleanup or damage to their facility – but it is a nice track). This was a stock engine except the timing wheel had been adjusted per the SM rules for 1.8L. There was a hole in the block for number 4 cylinder and bits of piston head had come out the hole. I will take the engine out and examine the damage more closely. But now I need a new engine

Barber Motorsports Park Spec Miata Lap Record Pace Danny Steyn 2010

September 2010 – Danny Steyn runs three consecutive laps under his own Spec Miata Lap Record at Barber Motorsports Park. The lap times in these three laps are 1.47.425, 1.47.163, and 1.47.324 Llater in the day, Danny backed up his performance, setting a new ISM lap record in the Pro-IT race. The new lap record is now 1.47.377
Bize chasing Steyn and Lamb in a great display of sportsmanship by all three drivers with good clean racing and no contact
Several students and some instructors runs (inside and outside the car) with the Dodge Viper SRT10 on the short autocross track at Lime rock Park, CT. This was part of the two day Driving School.
